How to take a screenshot on the Galaxy S6
Kris Carlon 2015-05-03T23:00:00Z1 day agoWe love the Galaxy S6. Assuming you love it too, you're probably looking to learn how to do as many things as possible with it. So today we'll show you two simple methods for taking a screenshot on the Galaxy S6. One method, as usual, takes the old-school route and sues the hardware buttons, the other is a Samsung gesture-based move.
The simplest way to take a screenshot on any Android device is with the hardware buttons. On the Galaxy S6, simply navigate to the screen you want to capture and press and hold the Power button and Home button until you seen the little flash animation (and hear a shutter sound if your volume is up).
Your screenshot will be saved to a Screenshots folder in your gallery app or you can view or share it direct from the navigation shade (also known as the pull-down menu). You'll see a little picture icon in the status bar when you have taken a screenshot.
The other way to take a screenshot on the Galaxy S6 is to use Samsung's gesture-based method. It needs to be enabled (although it should be enabled by default) in Settings > Motions and Gestures > Palm Swipe To Capture. Once the feature is enabled, you simply swipe the edge of your palm across the screen from right to left to capture the screen. You'll see the same animation and your screenshot will appear in both the Screenshots folder and the navigation shade. ?
What do you you take screenshots of most often? Did you know both of these tricks?
